This was a good book. I don't think it was as good as the first one but still pretty good. It feels like your one of the first people on earth while reading this book. The Emberties have never been on the earths surface before. They don't really know much about it. They have lots of questions for the people in the village of Sparks. They have been threw a lot up on the earth and they find out that they have lots of emotions in them.
Throughout this book there were things that were different going on in this book that weren't in the first. The characters kind of changed there personalities slightl. And everyone had more emotion to them,. In the first book there weren't many emotions going on except when they were singing or when they were fighting against the mayor.
Its like being up on earth has taught them how humans are like. They kind of adapted to the way the People of Sparks are like. There is more arguments in this book which makes it more intersesting. In the other book there was basically one main thing going on while in this one there were more two problems going on. I like how the author did this because it gives you more to talk about and think about. Eventually the two main things join together. You get to see the different perspectives of the two main characters.
